Design Indaba mag wins three Tabbies!

More than 700 entries were received for the 2008 Tabbie Awards, with nominations coming from the US, Canada, UK, Australia, France, Ireland, New Zealand, Lebanon, Singapore, Switzerland, UAE and South Africa.

Design Indaba mag got a Silver award in the Front Cover Digital Imagery category for the ‘Fanfest 2010' edition, done in collaboration with Grid. The judges said: "Great use of type! Love the way the image has movement! Great cover! The flags arranged in such a fashion is very interesting. The colors are wonderful."

AND a bronze in the Front Cover Photograph category for the "Green Living: The Burning Issue", photographed by Paul Hofman. The judges said: "An absolutely amazing idea to illustrate global warming. The cover is very well done."

AND AND a bronze in the Best Feature Design category for the "Waste Not, Want Not" story in the Burning Issue. Designed by our resident design superhero Richard Quintal. The judges said: "Great use of imagery, love the type for the callouts, nice use of type on the title. Very interesting use of spot art! The entire piece is pulled together very nicely. Good use of colors and photos."
